From the early nineties Payzone has worked with electricity, gas and other utility service providers to develop networks and the supporting IT infrastructure for pre-payment, bill payment and other payment types. Operating this service throughout Europe, Payzone offers energy, telecoms and other suppliers with regional or national customer bases a competitively based channel for the collection of cash based payments.

In partnership with our utility clients Payzone have developed a variety of technologies used to facilitate payment collection including bar-coded bills, magnetic swipe cards, smart keys, smart cards encoded tokens and keypad technology.

Payzone’s retail network enables utility providers to provide their customers with a flexible channel to pay their bills at times and locations that are convenient for them.

Processing in excess of 100 million utility payments per annum from over 2 million customers across Europe, Payzone leads the way in providing cash payment services for the utility sector. Payzone provide and manage payment networks and services for some of the largest utility companies across the Ireland including Eircom, Bord Gais and ESB Customer Supply.
